Have I made this clear? You are burning a symbol for one of the largest religions in the world. You do not get the right to burn that symbol then point at the response as proof that they (whoever 'they' may be) are 'evil'. Further, why the fuck are you burning the damned book in the first place?!
This does nothing AT ALL to further any goal, any point, any argument. This is just plain old fashioned picking a fight. There is no statement to be made here beyond trying to provoke your opponent into hitting you.
This is not an attack on religious extremists. This is an attack on the religion itself. Now, anyone who knows me will tell you I am not religious myself. I love to engage in debate on religious matters because I always come out learning things I did not know before, so long as the person I'm debating has the intellect to debate maturely. For all of this, my own agnosticism and my willingness to poke holes in religions:
I will never attack a religion wholesale.
That is an assault on spirituality as a whole and a 'foul' in my book. That's not a legitimate play. But no matter the subject, you cannot provoke an attack, then act shocked when those you're provoking DO attack.
Yes, there are Muslims now burning the American flag and shouting "Death to America". You're goddamned right they are. Because we are the biggest representative of the Christian religion, even though we do not call ourselves a Christian nation. Now we have a Christian wanting to burn the Koran.

There is ignorance in this world and that saddens me, but this isn't ignorance. This is playing at being ignorant while knowing better, thus acting like a fucking child AGAIN. And that pisses me the hell off.
